In the evening, when the sun goes down behind the Hohe Tauern and Lake Millstätt is bathed in the most beautiful light, the atmosphere along eastern shore is particularly entrancing. Enjoy the most beautiful sunsets on the lake over cocktails on one of the wooden docks or on one of the raised platforms at the lakeside beach Sittlinger in Döbriach. Sunset on Lake Millstätt in such an atmosphere is a delight for all the senses.
Bay rambles
Row along the southern shore of Lake Millstatt and enjoy Nature and the peace
and quiet of the bays and coves still devoid of houses. Twice a week there is a
lakeside hike during which you will hear interesting details about the various
types of boats. Afterwards the hikers are taken on a ride to the South
Shore.

There are enchanting spots perfect for a picnic where you can watch fish gliding about in the water or perhaps where you can pull out of your pocket a fiery garnet, one which you’ve found yourself in the mountains. It is the Stone of Love and is bound to win a heart.
Dinner for Two on the Lake
Moonlight on the Lake, the star-studded sky like a canopy over the breathtaking mountain skyline. The water of the lake laps gently at the raft anchored in the middle of the lake. A festively laid table, candlelight, a couple lifting their glasses in a toast to togetherness and romance.
