In the winter months, the Lake Millstätter See unfolds its unique charm. When the first snowflakes envelop the landscape, the Familiengut Burgstaller is transformed into a place full of wonder and festive joy. You can feel the magical atmosphere everywhere, spreading joy and contemplation.

2. Burgstaller Family Estate Advent

Advent of lights to the Animal Village.

Saturday, 20 December and Sunday, 21 December 2025,
from 3:30 p.m. to approx. 8 p.m.


Contemplative. Sociable. Delicious.
A special experience* at the Burgstaller Family Estate – for a cosy Advent afternoon.
Open to everyone: young and old, families, guests, locals and visitors to the region.

• On the family estate terrace by the hotel bar entrance:
• Meeting place for mulled wine, punch, tea, chestnuts, tasty snacks and more
• Small Advent market for connoisseurs
• Atmospheric Christmas carols
• For a cosy and convivial time, good conversation and a nice get-together
• Path of lights through the garden to the animal village – especially popular with families
• Pony petting and getting to know horses in the riding stable with riding instructor Lydia
• Pony riding – depending on availability
• Campfire and sausage grilling for the children
• Mini golf – depending on the weather
• Christmas stories in the children's tent

Spend the Christmas season at our Familiengut Burgstaller and create unforgettable moments with your loved ones. On Christmas Eve, we will spoil you with a festive dinner while the bells of the Christ Child ring and the Christmas tree lights up - a very special experience! We also offer Christmas parties for groups who want to celebrate in a festive atmosphere. Come and experience a magical Christmas for young and old!

Start the new year with an indulgent highlight: on New Year's morning, we invite you to a regional breakfast that is perfect for the festive occasion and will spoil you all round! The Carinthian winter at the Familiengut is simply unique. Imagine whizzing down the slopes of nearby ski areas such as Bad Kleinkirchheim, St. Oswald, Goldegg, Katschberg and Turracher Höhe or simply enjoying the tranquil atmosphere around the Lake Millstätter See. Spend relaxing winter days with us around the New Year and let us spoil you. And don't worry - we've also come up with something special for Epiphany!
